THE ORTHOPEDIC FOUNDATION
Who We Are: The Orthopedic Foundation is as a not-for profit 501©(3) organization. We believe that quality medical care and service requires a scientific commitment to excellence, compassionate dedication to service and an enthusiastic willingness to teach. The Foundation’s efforts are supported by top physicians and medical staff who believe in this mission. The Orthopedic Foundation also promotes, supports, and encourages individuals to live a healthy active lifestyle and help to maintain that lifestyle.
What We Do: The Orthopedic Foundation provides ongoing research initiatives in partnership with
physicians, surgeons, and medical students to develop new ideas to promote best clinical practices. We offer paid Summer Research Internships to 2nd year medical students in which the students work with orthopedic surgeons or neurologists on studies through our Foundation. Our educational programs provide the community with a stronger knowledge base about orthopedic and neurological conditions through lectures and seminars. With our commitment to patient centered services, care, and priorities in mind, we hope to create positive and valuable patient experiences for patients seeking treatment for orthopedic and neurologic conditions.
Why We're Important: The Orthopedic Foundation promotes activities that educate the community and get people motivated to commit to a healthy lifestyle. We provide educational workshops on the prevention and treatment of orthopedic and neurologic conditions; and partner with physicians to improve patient care satisfaction and medical services. Our research is focused on improving patient outcomes and care. We partner with other non-profit organizations to increase our reach for those in need of musculoskeletal care.
How We Impact the Community: The Orthopedic Foundation understands the importance in supporting the local community to foster strong connections and build solid partnerships. The Orthopedic Foundation is committed to giving back to the community by sponsoring and/or supporting local programs and organizations including the Arthritis Foundation, Honor Ride in support of the local Project Hero’s Program, Ohio Osteopathic Foundation, Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Healthy New Albany.
How You Can Help: You can support The Orthopedic Foundation’s goal by contributing to our Research and Education Fund and attending our annual fundraising event, The Orthopedic Foundation Polo Cup. The Orthopedic Foundation
Polo Cup is a fundraiser that features an afternoon of thrilling polo competition in a picturesque setting on the grounds of Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, Ohio. Proceeds from the event support the work of The Orthopedic Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation.
