Who We Are: At The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH)we focus on all aspects of family violence, beyond prevention and intervention. Our multidisciplinary team of experts provides the personalized care tailored to the needs of each person while working to eliminate the damage these heinous acts cost society as a whole, all in an effort to become one step closer to ending family violence in our community. We do this by treating victims, advocating for change and conducting research. The goal of everything we do is to break the cycle and restore hope.

What We Do: TCFSH fully address all aspects of family violence including child abuse and neglect, teen dating abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse. We offer a continuum of research-based prevention, intervention and treatment programs for individuals experiencing any and all forms of family violence.

Why We're Important: The path to healing can be difficult, especially for those impacted by family violence. Healing is possible if you have the right people and resources by your side. TCFSH is a one-stop, coordinated response to family violence for individuals and families through partnerships with law enforcement, child protection services, prosecution and a wide range of community resources, education and advocacy. Our resources serve as a needed lifeline for those seeking help, which helps us get closer to achieving our goal of ending family violence.

How We Impact the Community: TCFSH starts the conversations to change attitudes around family violence and abuse. We empower bystanders to look for warning signs so they can understand how to best intervene and stop violence and abuse. We work to eliminate the following:

  • Five children die each day from abuse and neglect in the U.S.

  • In Ohio, a child is abused or neglected every 310 minutes

  • One in five children will be sexually assaulted before age 18

  • 45% of victims we treat are under the age of 7

  • 60% of child abuse and neglect cases show a prior history of domestic violence

How You Can Help: Your support will help restore hope for individuals, children and families – to believe that it is possible to end abuse, to heal and feel safe. You can help by donating the following items for patients and families in need:

  • New stuffed animals

  • Personal care items

  • Children’s books

  • Gift cards for gas and food

  • Feminine hygiene products
